RushanBoric Acid Anodizing of Aluminum Alloys

Product Description

Aluminum alloy anodizing with boric acid, also known as barrier-type anodizing, employs a boric acid–borate electrolyte to produce a dense, non‑porous, amorphous alumina film. The electrolyte exhibits weak etching action on the oxide layer, resulting in a pore‑free film with excellent insulating properties; its thickness can be controlled by the applied voltage. While unsuitable as a protective coating, it is commonly used for capacitor dielectrics and as a pre‑treatment step for precision components. It can also serve as the underlying layer in composite oxide films and finds applications in microelectronics and precision manufacturing.
