Matte White

Image Name

Matte white is a surface‑finishing process in which aluminum is first treated with an acidic sandblasting etchant and then subjected to anodizing. This produces a highly uniform, densely pitted matte finish, while forming a transparent, hard oxide layer that exhibits a distinctive, finely matted silver sheen—offering both aesthetic appeal and excellent corrosion resistance.

Advantages of matte oxidation:

1. Low aluminum consumption, typically only 5–15 kg/t.

2. Effectively mitigates defects such as coarse grains and weld lines.

3. Sludge in the bath is easy to handle.

4. The matte, sanded finish has a strong metallic sheen.

5. Production operations are relatively safe.
