Silver-plated
Silver is a precious metal that occurs in very small quantities in the Earth’s crust. Pure silver is a beautiful silvery-white metal; its jewelry and tableware exhibit excellent reflectivity and, when polished, can achieve a high degree of luster, making it widely used in both jewelry and home décor. Moreover, coating certain metal surfaces with a thin layer of silver can replicate the decorative effects of pure silver, yielding a bright, finely finished appearance while offering superior wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and resistance to discoloration, thus enabling a broad range of applications.
Advantages of silver plating: The silver coating is thin, uniform, and highly lustrous; the plating bath has a simple composition, reducing processing steps and eliminating the need for additional organic additives. The electrolyte consists of only two components—AgCN and KCN—allowing the process to be completed in a single step, with short cycle times, high production efficiency, and material savings. This method is well suited for electroplating decorative items and jewelry, offering strong practical applicability.
