SY-402 quaternary zinc‑immersion plating solution is a high‑performance formulation that deposits a premium zinc coating on the surfaces of various aluminum alloys and castings, such as computer hard disk drives. Unlike conventional immersion zinc baths, SY‑402 produces a uniform, thin, dense coating with fine grain structure and minimal etching of the aluminum substrate. It also exhibits excellent adhesion to subsequent coatings, including electroless nickel, electroplated nickel, and copper. Furthermore, SY‑402 is supplied as a concentrated solution, facilitating easy bath preparation and maintenance. The bath is readily rinsed, with very low zinc carryover into downstream tanks, ensuring stable bath control and a broad operating window for process parameters.
